Why outside?

KEEPING SAFE

Research shows that Covid-19 transmission is much less common outdoors.  This is because airflow and UV light make it much more difficult for the virus to survive and spread outside. Keeping events smaller, using physical distancing, and vaccination, all make outdoor activities even safer.

STAYING CONNECTED

Creating safe spaces for people to meet keeps us from isolating too much and getting lonely.

STAYING HEALTHY

People who keep getting out for exercise, and have some time in nature each day have been shown to have better mental and physical health during the pandemic.

SUPPORT LOCAL

Making it safer to use outdoor spaces makes it more likely people will keep visiting their local shops and cafes.
